Women in STEM

The challenges facing women in STEM are not insurmountable, but they do present unique obstacles every woman must face throughout college and their career. While women earn roughly half of all bachelor's degrees across STEM fields, they face a pronounced gender gap in computer science and engineering, representing less than 20% of graduates. Unfortunately, this gap persists when women enter the workforce representing only 29 percent of science and engineering professionals.
